Pretzel Salad Recipe

Pretzel Salad

2 cups chopped salt-free pretzels

3/4 cup melted corn oil margarine

1/4 cup sugar

8 oz light cream cheese

1 cup sugar

16 oz whipped topping

1 6-oz package of strawberry gelatin

1 3/4 cups boiling water

2 10-oz packages of frozen sliced strawberries

Combine pretzels, margarine and 1/4 cup sugar in medium bowl. Mix well. Press into 9 x 13 inch baking dish.

Bake at 350 for 8 minutes, then cool.

Beat cream cheese & remaining 1 cup sugar in small bowl until light and fluffy. Blend in whipped topping. Spread over pretzel layer.

Dissolve gelatin in boiling water in bowl. Stir in strawberries until thawed. Spoon over cream cheese layer.

Chill until firm.
