WAGNER, A JOHNSTOWN NATIVE, WAS THE FIRST FLYING ACE DURING WORLD WAR 2 AFTER SHOOTING DOWN 8 JAPANESE PLANES OVER THE PHILLIPINES. HIS PLANE WENT DOWN DURING A ROUTINE FLIGHT IN ALABAMA BACK IN 1942.

AN OREGON BARTENDER RECENTLY EARNED A 17-THOUSAND-500-DOLLAR TIP IN THE FORM OF A WINNING KENO TICKET. AURORA KEPHART SAYS A MAN SHOWED HER A HANDFUL OF TICKETS AND TOLD HER TO PICK 2. THE FIRST PAID 5 DOLLARS, BUT THE SECOND WAS THE BIG WINNER. THE STATE COLLEGE POLICE DEPARTMENT IS HOPING A NEW TWITTER FEED WILL HELP RESIDENTS LOCATE MISSING OR STOLEN BIKES. THE DEPARTMENT IS LAUNCHING @-RECLAIM-YOUR-BIKE. EACH YEAR, UNCLAIMED BIKES ARE STORED AND LATER SOLD AT AUCTION. OTHER TOWNS HAVE SIMILAR TWITTER FEEDS IN PLACE.
