THE COMPANY announced a massive recall Thursday to fix several problems, including a wiring flaw which has caused at least 13 accidents. Many of the cars under the recall were built before GM’s 2009 bankruptcy. The vehicle models include ChevY Malibu AND Malibu Maxx…Pontiac G-6…AND Saturn Auras.

The wiring problem could cause the brake lamps to fail…AND cruise control, traction control, electronic stability control and panic braking assist operations could be disabled. GM has received complaints about the wiring problem in the past and issued a service bulletin to dealerships in 2008, but did not order a recall UNTIL NOW.
