The Idea of Being a Major Celebrity Gives Dierks Bentley the "Heebie Jeebies"

DIERKS BENTLEY may be a country star . . . but he's not a major star like, say, WILLIE NELSON or BLAKE SHELTON.

And that's exactly how he likes it.

He says, quote, "I don't want to be any more famous than I need to be to perform my music. I can kind of still fly under the radar, even in Nashville, which is totally awesome. "There's no greater thing in the world, if you ask me or a person who's famous, than being able to be a normal dude. I want my kids to see me as a normal dude . . . I want them to look at me as dad rather than any other way. "I really don't want to be a celebrity by any stretch of the imagination. It gives me the heebie jeebies."
