Simpson-Temple United Parish, 2212 Sixth Avenue, Altoona will be holding a "Winterfest" from 9am to 2pm.. They'll be selling books, DVDs, CDs, games, puzzles, and baked goods. There'll be face-painting, storytelling, crafts, plus entertainment by Ryan Matthew and the Horseshoe Cloggers. PRE-ORDERED quarts of home-made soup are available - Chicken Noodle, Italian Sausage or Vegetable Beef - at $5 a quart by calling 942-0840 9am to 3pm weekdays, or 932-6452 weekends. The sales benefit their Outreach Ministry.
